This large site drawing focused on the famously endless job of painting the Forth Rail Bridge. Drawn from the shore on the Fife shore, it became the inspiration for the millennial lithograph ‘Span’. It was first exhibited at the Talbot Rice Gallery in the exhibition ‘East’ in 2001. I made my first drawing of this Bridge for my first solo show in Edinburgh in 1985, ‘Coastlines’.
