Exhibited at The Society of Scottish Artists at the Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh in 1983, this large painting is based on the Hatton Power Station in Aberdeenshire, but inspired by Bronzino’s allegorical painting of the same name, with exactly the same colour balance. The title and the subject seem very appropriate in the 21st century.
