Kate Downie

I made this work during a happy and productive week in a print workshop in Skudeneshavn, a guest of artist Anna-Kristine Ferking, as part of the Stavanger city of culture North Sea project. An empty Sunday morning walk, nothing stirred but the odd gull. Scudenes inhabitants park their boats like we in Scotland park our cars. This sea edge becomes almost domestic, but somewhere beyond, the water surface implies its infinity.
